Pádraig Rynne, born in County Clare, Ireland, is a distinguished concertina player and a pivotal figure in contemporary Irish music. Immersed in the rich musical traditions of his homeland from an early age, Rynne's prodigious talent led him to secure five All-Ireland solo concertina titles by the age of 17. 

His innovative spirit has seen him blend traditional Irish melodies with genres such as jazz, world music, and electronic music. As a founding member of several influential bands, including Cian, Guidewires, Triad, and Breen l Rynne l Murray, Rynne has continually pushed the boundaries of Irish folk music. Notably, he established NOTIFY in 2013, a six-piece ensemble renowned for redefining contemporary instrumental music by intertwining Irish traditions with jazz, post-rock, and cinematic influences. 

Throughout his career, Rynne has received numerous accolades. His collaboration as a member of the electronic duo Aeons with Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh earned them two Nós Awards, recognizing their innovative contributions to Irish music. As a member of the popular trio Breen l Rynne l Murray, they won best traditional album in the 2022 American Celtic listener supported radio awards. In 2025, NOTIFY's album "Airnéan" was honored as the Best Folk Album of the Year by The Irish Times, a testament to the group's artistic excellence.

Beyond his ensemble work, Rynne's solo projects have garnered critical acclaim. His albums, including "Bye a While," "Notify," “Conscious” and "Begin with the End in Mind," showcase his exceptional skill as both a composer and performer. The latter album, released in 2022, was praised for its blend of traditional and contemporary elements, reflecting Rynne's deep connection to Irish musical heritage.

In addition to performing, Rynne is dedicated to music education. Since 2018, he has served as the Music Development Officer for Music Generation Clare, where he has been instrumental in creating the world's first Concertina Orchestra and providing performance music education to aspiring young musicians throughout the county. 
